New York (AFP) – Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was fined $40,000 by the NBA on Wednesday for repeatedly publicly criticizing referees following a 107-101 victory at Oklahoma City on Monday.

Edwardsled the T-Wolves with 27 points in the showdown for the Western Conference lead, hitting 10-of-20 shots from the floor and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

“I’m going to take the fine because the refs did not give us no calls,” Edwards said.

“The refs was bad tonight.Yeah, they was terrible. We was playing 8-on-5.”
