In an electrifying display of talent and determination, sixteen-year-old Jamaican sprinter Nickecoy Bramwell shattered a long-standing record set by the legendary Usain Bolt. Competing at the 51st CARIFTA Games, Bramwell emerged as a rising star in the world of track and field, leaving spectators in awe with his exceptional performance.

The CARIFTA Games, an annual athletic competition among Caribbean countries, witnessed history unfold as Bramwell took to the track at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium in Grenada. Despite facing recent injury setbacks, the young sprinter displayed unwavering confidence and emerged as the favorite to watch in the 400-meter race.

With thunderous applause echoing through the stadium, Bramwell sprinted his way into the record books, crossing the finish line in a stunning time of 47.26 seconds. In doing so, he surpassed Bolt’s championship record of 47.33 seconds, a remarkable feat considering Bolt’s status as one of the greatest sprinters of all time.

Reflecting on his historic achievement, Bramwell expressed his elation at breaking the record, a goal he had set his sights on since last summer. With a clear focus and determination, he demonstrated the potential to achieve even greater heights in the future, solidifying his status as a rising star in Jamaican athletics.
