Miami (AFP) – The LPGA and TMRW Sports, creator of the tech-golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, announced Tuesday that a women’s edition of the league will debut next winter. Teams of LPGA players will play in the inaugural season of the WTGL in the 2026-2027 window in a female version of the TGL, which has just started a second season.

The TGL uses simulators with tee shots and a green that shifts positions in an arena format, with all matches contested in a specially built South Florida venue. The WTGL will use the same SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, that TGL teams use for matches.

“Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes,” LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler said. “I’ve seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing both athlete personality and performance, and WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game.”
